Holbeins Champ sure to give good account in Hove?s Haywards Heath RFC Trophy (In Memory Of David Maconachie)

G. Gower?s skilful hound, Holbeins Champ, did the job well last time. An excellent ?-length victory has boosted up his confidence, which he will surely utilise in the Haywards Heath RFC Trophy (In Memory Of David Maconachie), being hosted by Hove on Thursday, November 01, 2012.

The black dog reached Hove after doing plenty of hard work at different venues. After making a few fine solo outings at Wimbledon, he went to Monmore, and practised well out there.

His hard work finally paid off last time, when he grabbed the victory despite a lot of mess. He baulked at the first bend, but did not let things slip out of his hands. With the help of an outstanding finish, the son of Ace Hi Rumble attained lead near the finishing line.

Holbeins Champ has several things going for him today. He is standing in the red box, which will certainly help him take an early advantage. And if he succeeds in putting his rivals under pressure in the beginning of the race, his chances will automatically go up.

Among his rivals are: Pennys Toby, Killorane Comet, Kiltomey Simba, Booked In and Droopys Derek. The 515 metres flat race will be initiated at 21:24 GMT. The ultimate champion will receive a cheque of 175 pounds.

Kiltomey Simba does not face an easy task under the circumstances. The black dog has run decently in the recent trials, but victories seem to have dried up for him these days.

Killorane Comet is probably the one the selection has most to fear. Although the brindle and white dog is not in good form at the moment, his ability to come up with a surprise cannot be overlooked. Pennys Toby?s path to success could be an uninterrupted one today. But he definitely needs to give more than one hundred percent.

Droopys Derek has a lot to find here. He was at bottom of the chart on his previous outing. Booked In has little in the way of early acceleration. However, it is not sure whether he will be able to make the most of this situation.
